A lot to blog about....

I have a lot to blog about so I'm just gonna go in order! First we started Christopher on solids.... the rule of thumb is they need to double their birth weight (he did that at about 2 months!) and they need to be able to sit up supported (came out with a really strong neck so he's been able to do that for a while too!). His bottles just weren't holding him over long enough so we decided it was time.. He's not really sure what he thinks about it but we are trying to train him! Davis took these pictures while I was feeding him the first time!

I have also decided that I find it very fun to decorate cakes! So I decided to try decorating one with fondant. I made marshmallow fondant and I thought it turned out pretty cute!

On Monday we took the kids to see Up! Davis saw a preview for it and HAD to see it! Davis and Allie really enjoyed the movie and the popcorn and the baby just watched the movie for about 30 mins then fell asleep!

We celebrated Chris' birthday on June 1st because on his birthday (the 30th) it was also our niece Brynja's birthday so we were at her party! Davis decided that we just had to make a "popo" car for a cake.

And... yesterday Chris got his tonsils out! His throat is pretty sore but at least he's done puking! The doctor told me that his tonsils were basically rotten and had puss all over! So all the pain will be worth it. This picture is pretty blurry but those dark spots in the back are where his tonsils used to be.

Camping!

A few weeks ago Davis really wanted to go camping so we got the tent out of storage and Chris and him were gonna "camp" outside in the backyard! We got the tent all set up then it got really windy outside so we ended up making smores inside and bringing the tent in our living room! Anyway.. Davis had a lot of fun sleeping in the tent in the living room, but me on the other hand felt like an old person after sleeping on the floor! It's funny what we do for our kids huh?!

Happy Birthday Chris!

Today is Chris' birthday so I thought that I would tell everyone why my husband is so great!!

1- because he loves me and makes sure I know it!

2- because he's an AMAZING daddy and our kids absolutely ADORE him!

3- because he's not afraid to change a diaper, feed the baby, or do the dishes or laundry!

4- because he works very hard for me and the kids to have a great life!

5- because I find him very sexy!!

I just remembered today that I haven't posted any pictures from our 2nd photo shoot with Monica. She took them back in April but I have just spaced it! So anyway, here are some of my favorites!

3 months old!

Today Christopher is 3 months old! He is getting SSOO big and chubby and i love it!! His talents so far are smiling, laughing, swatting at toys, and he tells very good stories!! He is such a good baby and has grown out of his milk and soy allergy!! YAY!!! He is pretty much sleeping thru the night.. goes to bed at around 9 and wakes up about 4:30 or 5... chugs a bottle then sleeps til about 8 or 9. So I really can't complain!

A Pirate Party!

Davis' 3rd birthday is on the 15th but Chris will be working so we decided to have his Pirate Party tonight! He LOVES pirates and HAD to have a pirate party! It was really fun to have him get so into all the party planning. the AWESOME pirate cake that i made!

too close to home....

As many of you probably already know, this morning at about 12:45 an LVMPD officer was killed in a car accident.. We didn't know the kid that died, but when an officer dies we can't help but think about Chris and even Nathan (bro-in-law) and all the risks that come with being an officer. It is a very risky career, but I am so grateful that there are people willing to risk their lives to help others... People always ask me, "how is it being married to a cop, isn't it scary?". I am so proud that my husband is brave enough to do what he does, but I do worry about him. I just try not to dwell on it and try to remember how many people he has helped out and that someones got do to it and he loves every minute of being a police officer.

Davis is probably the most proud kid i have ever seen! He LOVES the fact that Daddy and Uncle Nathan are "popo's"!! He is always "arresting" us and telling us to freeze and put our hands up!! One day Bobby (Nadja and Nathan's boy) and Davis were playing cops and kept arresting each other and taking each other to jail!

I am not looking forward to watching the cops funeral because 3 years ago when an officer was shot and killed on duty I bawled my eyes out... Im sure it won't be any different with this one! Anyway.. THANK YOU to all cops and a shout out to their wives!!
