Our Christmas 2008!

This year we had a really good time with Christmas. Davis totally understood and enjoyed every minute of it! Allie was just excited because he was!

The Forgotten Carols

One little tradition that we started our first Christmas together is going to The Forgotten Carols. If you haven't ever been we highly recommend it! Michael Mclean is amazing! This year we went with Chris' sister April and her husband Burke and Chris' mom. It was awesome as always!

Christmas fun!

Last Saturday we went into vegas to do some Christmas shopping! It was really fun to get davis and Allie some fun stuff! After we were done shopping my sister-in-law came down from Cedar and met up with us in vegas to have a girls night! We went to the Bellagio and looked at the atrium then went to Bahama Breeze and had something to eat!

the last couple weeks!

so.. it's been a while since i posted so here's a little update! For Thanksgiving we stayed home and just had my mom and dad over. It was very relaxed and small but my sisters were having dinner with their in-laws and my brother had to work and couldn't come down. Chris' family all live out of town and he had to work that night so we had to stay in town. Then on that next monday we had to take the kids in to the doc to get a few more shots to catch them up and Allie didn't do very well with them. She got the poots and was throwing up (in the middle of the night), running a fever and just not herself. Meanwhile.... i had a terrible head cold and wasn't feeling good either!! Let me just say it was a really LONG week! But.. we are all feeling better and everything is great! Here are just some random pics!

Davis really likes routine! everyday for naps he wants to sleep sideways on his bed with Diego.

Allie is officially sleeping in a "big girl" bed! With the new baby due in 2 months we decided to get Allie in the toddler bed so the baby can use the crib! She has actually done really well in it! This was her first night in it!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. I'm not the best wrapper but its fun!
2. Real tree or Artificial? fake :(.. we got a real one our first christmas and it was a mess and a total fire hazard so we decided to go with the fake stuff!
3. When do you put up the tree? usually the weekend before thanksgiving
4. When do you take the tree down? The day after Christmas
5. Do you like eggnog? not my favorite, but it's ok
6. Favorite gift received as a child? that would have to be my green blanket that i got when i was like 5 and i still have it and use it!
7. Hardest person to buy for? i think everyone is pretty easy to buy for... i'm the one that has a hard time deciding what i want!
8. Easiest person to buy for? Davis and Allie for sure!
9. Do you have a nativity scene? yup... one my grandma bowler made and one my father in law gave me for christmas a couple years ago!
10. Best Christmas gift you ever received? i've had a lot of good ones, but i'm gonna say the year the chris surprised me with a dvd video camera, diamond earings and diamond necklace! (that was before kids!)
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? none come to mind!
12. Favorite Christmas Movie (s)? Home Alone, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? November.. black Friday!!!
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No, but i'm gonna for allie this year! She'll never know or care!

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!

i loved the movie! we were there (along with about all of moapa valley!) for the midnite showing and it was awesome! they even had a red carpet and the guy that played mike was there!! i got pics and autographs!! i will post the pics later when my mom sends them to me from her phone! Awesome movie!

forgot!

i forgot to put in my last post what a stud my husband is! last friday night he went on a call where a guy was just about ready to jump off the 11th floor of a parking garage (basically his right butt cheek was the only thing touching the ground) and he talked the guy out of jumping! chris is very afraid of heights so for him to be able to even think, being that high and close to the edge and talk the guy out of jumping is pretty awesome! YAY for my sexy hubby! i love you babe!

not a whole lot has been going on around here! on saturday we just relaxed then went out exploring on the 4-wheelers. then on sunday we were relaxing outside letting the kids play and chris got stung by a bee (luckily he's not allergic). on monday we headed into vegas to get the kids christmas pictures taken. by the time we were done with the pictures, shopping and eating lunch both babies were VERY tired! this was at target and it just makes me laugh! they were both out and they usually wont just fall asleep if there's a lot going on!

on monday we took the kids to the doctor for a regular well baby check up! they are both super healthy and normal! davis got 3 shots and with the first one he grabbed the nurses hand that was giving the shot and pulled the needle out! she was a little surprised as to how strong he is! on the way out the needle scratched his leg pretty deep. poor little guy! allie had 4 shots and she cried but no scratches! davis is still a moose! he's in the 95% for height and 90% for weight! allie is still our little petite girl, she's in the 50% for height and 50% for weight! they are both just perfect!

this year for halloween chris had to work so we spent it with nadja, her kids and grandma. we had fun getting the kids all dressed up and eating yummy food! here are some pics from our night.

BOISE STATE BRONCOS WON!!! chris is a big bronco's fan so today we spent most of the day watching football waiting for the bronco's game and YAY they won!! my mom also brought over her dog and the kids had tons of fun playing with her and in her kennel!

idaho trip!

this last week we took a little vacation up to idaho to see chris' family. we left wednesday and got home late sunday night. our first stop was Filer at his grandparents house. davis had a lot of fun meeting another grandma! after we spent the night with them we headed for pocatello and stayed at chris' long time best friend brandon's and had tons of fun watching the little ones play! it was also nice to see his dad and his wife and visit with them! all in all it was a great vacation! the weather was awesome! nice and chilly!

its been a while since our last post! not a whole lot has been going on. chris is just getting over that cold thats been going around and i think davis is catching it! other than that we have just been waiting for chris to change squads and shifts so he will be home with us at nights! that will be a nice change! here are just some random pictures from the last couple weeks!
