6 great years!!

October 16 was our 6 year mark!! Chris is truly my best friend and the best thing that has ever happened to me. He is a great husband and I love spending my life with him. We knew from the first date that we were meant for each other!!

Kailee's blessing day

On October 17, 2010 we blessed our little Kailee. Chris did a great job and Kailee was beautiful! In the circle was Daddy, Uncle Nathan, Uncle Jerry, Uncle Nick, Tom Waite, Ben Bailey, Noah Reid, Glen Lewis, Bishop Terril, Bill Johnson and Lon Dalley. Aunt April was nice enough to make a special trip for her special day!

Life is crazy with 4 kids!!!

So it has been pretty much forever since I have even looked at any ones blog and even longer since I have blogged!! Life with 4 kids, 4 and under is very time consuming. I wouldn't have it any other way, but my spare time is pretty limited! I would have just given up on the whole blog thing, but it's a great way to keep record for my kids to have when they're older.

So about 3 months ago, when it started to be somewhat bearable outside, we would load 2 kids in the stroller and Davis and Allie on their bikes and we would head to the park. The kids loved it and it was a nice way for them to burn some of their energy!

6 weeks!

Kailee Jane is 6 weeks old today! She is seriously an AMAZING baby! She goes to bed anywhere between 9 and 10, then wakes up at about 6, eats, then goes to sleep and wakes up at about 9! She has only been waking up once for the last couple weeks and we are SOO grateful! Especially with 3 other VERY active kiddos, it's nice to have such a good baby! She is starting to smile when she's talked to and tries VERY hard to talk! Her hair line right now is pretty funky, but she's still adorable! We also got her ears pierced yesterday and she handled it like a champ! We absolutely love all of our kids and feel so blessed to be able to raise them!

Family pics, August 2010

A few weeks ago we got family and newborn pictures done by Monica Dominguez. She does a great job so we always go to her for our picture needs! Kailee was 3 weeks old in these pictures!

The different sides of Kissy!

*Look at me, I'm so cute!*
*CrAzY!*
*So Sweet!*

Preschool!

My first born started preschool!! Joshlyn Wheeler is his teacher and he absolutely loves it!

First Bath!

Kailee's cord fell off REALLY fast... like 2 days after she was born, so she got to take a full on bath pretty quick! She really like it... she liked it so much she fell asleep! This is our old tub that we used with Kissy and I lost the net thingy that holds the baby so we just used a towel to lay her on. I have since bought a new tub though!

The "Story"

I was set to be induced on August 2nd, but little Kailee Jane had a different plan! On Friday July 30th it was a pretty normal day. I got up got the kids fed, waited for Chris to wake up, sent Chris off to work, fed the kids lunch, put Kissy down for a nap then went and ran a few errands. After dinner I decided that I better get the house cleaned because White Grandma and Aunt April were gonna be here the next day. So I cleaned until I couldn't clean anymore and sat down to watch tv at about 8:30. I had a few contractions but nothing different from any other night, I didn't think anything of it.

So I went to bed at 10:30 and at about 12:15 I woke up having contractions. I didn't quite know what to think because I hadn't ever gone into labor on my own so I was sure that it was false labor. I knew Chris was on his way home from work so I called him and told him that I was having contractions and he told me to get off the phone and start timing them. So I hurried and downloaded a contraction timer app on my phone (gotta love my droid!) and realized that they were coming about 2 1/2-4 minutes apart!! So I called Chris back and told him and he said ok, get up and get what I need so we could head to the hospital as soon as he got home. I couldn't get out of bed though so I just waited for him to get home and he took a quick shower and grabbed the stuff and we were headed to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital they hooked me right up to the monitors and checked me and I was at a 4. Oh, and it was about 2:30 am when we got there. Anyway, they told me I wasn't going home with out a baby and we were pretty excited! The contractions got pretty hard and really close together VERY fast so they called in the anesthesiologist. We told him and the nurse about my epidural experience with my last baby and they told me if after 30 minutes I wasn't completely numb then it's not working right. So they put the epidural in and started the pitocin and literally with in minutes my contractions were CRAZY hard. I kept asking Chris if it had been 30 minutes yet because I wasn't' numb at all. I then had the urge to push and Chris said it had only been 15 minutes since they put in the epidural!! I told Chris I needed to push and he ran and got the nurses and one ran in and checked me and little Kailee's head was right there. At first they told me to try not to push so the doctor could get there, but there was no stopping it!! When your not numb AT ALL if you gotta push, you gotta push! So the nurse delivered the baby and my doctor got there about 5 minutes later! He was joking saying that he didn't even put on socks because he ran out of his door so fast! So I got to the hospital at 2:30 am and had Kailee Jane at 4:18 am!!

It was kinda a cool experience going into labor on my own and having my water break before they broke it! It was really nice to be able to get up right after having the baby and be able to get my iv out right after! But because I had her so fast we didn't get any pictures or video of her first breathes!

She was just laying there like this for like 5 minutes.. I think she liked being able to stretch out!

My amazing doctor.. Darin Swainston, even though he didn't make it there in time to deliver the baby we still love him and had to get a picture with him!

Mommy and Baby Kailee finally meet!
All of the awesome nurses!! We loved these ladies!

Ma's broken leg

On Monday the 12th my mom broke her leg! She was walking down the ramp and stepped wrong on her leg and it snapped. She called for me and I ran out to see what was going on and found her laying on her back saying that her foot was just dangling there. So I called 911 and got looking at her leg and could see a huge lump and blood. At first I thought the blood must have been a scratch from the fall, but no, looked harder and it was her bone! After she got to the hospital and they did an x-ray they found that she had broken both bones about 5 inches above her ankle. So they got her into surgery that night and put a metal rod in. She was in a lot of pain but is doing a little better now. She's been in rehab learning how to get in and out of bed and on and off the toilet because she'll have to be in a wheel chair for 3 months.

I really wish that I would have thought to take a picture of her leg before the ambulance took her because it was actually kind of a crazy site! I will post pictures of her huge cast tomorrow because that's when she will be coming home!

Goodbye Tonsils and adenoids!!!

On July 7th both Allie and Davis got their tonsil and adenoids removed! Allie needed hers out because her adenoids were blocking 60% of her nasal passage way and her tonsils were enlarged, on a scale of 1-4, 4 being them touching, hers were a 3+. So she had sleep apnea. Davis needed his out because he got strep throat A LOT!! Their surgeries went great and all the nurses and the doctor said that they were the best kids that they've ever taken the tonsils out! They even said that Chris and I deserve an award for them being so good!!

Allie was pretty perky right after surgery. She thought it was pretty funny to hide her face in the puke bucket (don't worry she hadn't puked in it!)!!

Davis was pretty out of it for a while and he couldn't keep anything down. Daddy was "eating" a plate to get Davis to laugh!

They are still recovering and can't eat hard foods. It's been kinda rough trying to find things for them to eat because they're not big sugar eaters so they got sick of the pudding, jello and ice cream pretty fast.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July (or I guess it was actually the 3rd!) we had to stay here because I'm too far along to go anywhere! Usually we like to go up to Idaho because you can actually stand to be outside there!! We Started off the morning by going up to the fair grounds for the candy drop, which they ended up not even doing. They just threw candy all over the ground then let the kids run in a grab what they could. It was actaully pretty lame so we went home and just like almost every other day, we went swimming!

After swimming and naps we went over to Andrea and Danny's for some yummy food and we let the kids wack the pinata because we forgot to do it at Allie's birthday party.

After the pinata we hurried home so we could watch the UFC fight!
After the main fight we took the kids outside (minus Kissy, he was already in bed!) and let them help set off some fire works!
