Teeth!

Today Davis lost his first tooth...
and Kailee got her first tooth!

Quick trip

A couple weeks ago we got a call that Grandpa Kohntopp had slipped on some ice at church and broke his hip. He is 93 years old so we knew it wasn't a good thing. They were going to do surgery the next day, but found staph infection in his blood. So they had to get rid of that before operating. Then a few days later they saw pneumonia had started, so they had to take care of that before operating. They finally got that all taken care of and he had his full hip replacement one week after breaking it. We headed up there to Filer to see him and Grandma Kohntopp and it was great to see everyone! Papa (Larry), Aunt Linda, Uncle Robert and Aunt Wendy and their kids were there so it was nice to be able to visit with them too. We got to Filer on Wednesday afternoon and visited and had dinner with everyone then Chris and I headed up to the hospital. We weren't really prepared to see him so weak, but he was as witty as ever! The next morning we drove to the hospital again and Chris went in for a while, while me and the kids watched a movie in the car.
Then it was off to White Grandma's house! The kids were very excited because she said that she had a surprise for them when we got there! She made them each a pillow case and an apron. They LOVE them! Chris and I were able to escape kid free and do some shopping so that was nice too! On Friday we went out to Chris' brother's house and the kids had a blast playing with their cousins, but then we had to leave Saturday morning! So it was a quick trip, but totally worth it!
White Grandma went to the doctor he sent these back for the kids!
They LOVE their aprons!

Kissy's 2nd

For Kissy's 2nd birthday we did the Elmo theme. He LOVES Elmo! Kissy is probably the cutest little man ever! He has such a funny personality and we just love him like crazy.
He is talking very well and keeps us on our toes!

Kailee 6 months!

These are just some snap shots from Kailee at months! I will post her stats after I take her to the doctor! But isn't she adorable?!

Grandpa Grey

On January 21st we got a phone call from White Grandma saying that Grandpa Grey wasn't doing very good and wasn't expected to live very much longer. We called up my mom at school and had her come home and stay with the older kids so we could head up to Ogden. We got there that night and Chris and his cousin Brian were able to give Grandpa a blessing, more to comfort his kids than anything. On Saturday morning we all headed back to the place where they are living and nurses kept thinking it could be any minute. Thankfully, by many miracles, all the family was able to come and say their goodbye's with him unconscious, but we believe, still able to hear. The hardest thing was watching Grandma begging her husband of 71 years to stay just a little while longer, she didn't want him to go without her.

Grandpa just kept holding on and we all just couldn't figure out why. Everyone had told him that it was ok to go and that Grandma would be taken care of. Grandma even told him it was ok. Then finally on Tuesday (January 25th) all the 4 kids said a prayer to help us know what to do to help him feel ok with passing. So we all decided it would be nice to sing a few hymns... and that's what Grandpa wanted. We first sang There is Sunshine in my Soul Today then Be still My Soul and during that song his breathing changed, we all knew it was getting close. We all were standing around his bed then sang Families can be Together Forever and he opened his eyes and a tear fell from his right eye (his eyes hadn't opened at all that day, even during a sponge bath and throwing up) then we sang God Be With You Til We Meet Again and that's when he went. It was probably one of the most spiritual experiences I've ever had. Right after Grandma realized that he was gone she wanted Kailee to give him a kiss, it was the sweetest moment. Grandma and pretty much everyone loved having Kailee there. She was really good the whole time and kinda kept everyone's spirits up. I'm so glad that we were able to be up there and visit family and be there for Carolyn. This is Chris' first Grandparent to pass on so it was a little hard on him, but I was glad to be there for him. The Graveside service was in Panaca on January 28th and it was perfect!

Disney on Ice

My sister from another mister, aka Shelley Adams hooked us up for Disney on Ice. She was able to get her in-laws box and we all had a ton of fun! Us adults enjoyed it just as much if not more than the girls!

BSU vs. Utes

We were soooo sad when the Broncos lost to Nevada, but it made it so they came to Vegas to play in the Macco Bowl. We had a TON of fun. It was so cool to be surrounded by a whole bunch of people just as crazy about the Broncos as us!
The one and only, Kellen Moore!!
